ICE SHOW «ROMEO AND JULIET»

Production company «Ilia Averbukh» presents new drama on ice «Romeo and Juliet». Its world premiere took place on 1 July at the ice Palace «Iceberg» in Sochi. The famous story is completely released, «Romeo and Juliet» - an original work in which the great Shakespeare play was only the starting point of the imagination of a famous Director. In the new ice draft for the first time in the history of world figure skating participating 7 Olympic Champions! Tatiana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin perform the main parts of «Romeo and Juliet». Alexei Yagudin and Roman Kostomarov became Mercutio and Tybalt fight with swords, they had to train for it with professionals of swordplay. The current Olympic Champions Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov perform the part of the Prince and the Princess of Verona. Participation in the project «Romeo and Juliet» became their first step on the ice after the birth of a daughter, the couple is actively training again to get in shape and impress the audience with elements of increased complexity. Also for the first time in the ice project of Ilia Averbukh performed another famous figure skater Ilya Kulik, the student of Tatiana Tarasova, who won gold in the mens singles figure skating in Nagano in 1998. In the show he plays the part of Paris in love with Juliet. One of the main actors is Alexei Tikhonov (Father Lorenzo) - he was the voice of the project: for the first time in the history of Averbukhs ice show skaters speak. In addition, the show involves Oksana Domnina, Maxim Shabalin, Maria Petrova, Albena Denkova, Maxim Stavisky, Margarita Drobiazko, Povilas Vanagas and many others. In a new production involved more than 100 people, including circus performers, singers famous musicals, musicians, ice ballet, creative and technical teams.
